When the spin drum rotates counterclockwise, it is due to the one-way bearing located in the gear housing. This bearing prevents the drum from rotating clockwise. During the intermediate and final spin phases, the drum rotates clockwise thanks to the main motor. In these cases, the gear housing is free when the brake belt is removed. If you notice that the motor does not slow down when manually rotated with the belt, try removing the belt and turning on the machine. The motor should then rotate 2 turns in one direction and then 2 turns in the other, without resistance but with a loud buzzing sound. After that, it should stop. If you are confused by this motor, you can remove the tape that surrounds the motor cable bundle. You will then see that there are 6 cables, 2 of which go to the capacitor.
