The belt on the LG dryer has been removed, but the part numbers are not readable because the rubber is worn. Take a wire and connect it between the two pulleys to measure the length of the belt. The belt on your dryer can be thin, thick with multiple grooves, flat or V-shaped. It is important to check which type of belt is compatible with your appliance. Most dryers have Poly-V belts, also known as ribbed belts. Even though it is more rare, it is possible that your model has a smooth V-belt.
If your LG dryer is equipped with a tension pulley, check its condition and make sure it is free of play and damaged. If the part is damaged, it is advisable to change it. In order to mount your new drive belt, go between the tub and the back panel of the dryer. Remember to disconnect the power supply and remove the support bar holding the power cables to the appliance. Then unscrew the water catch tray support and move the drum out of alignment with the rear panel.
Install the new belt, taking care to tighten it well so that it does not slip on the central axis during use of the dryer.
