The drying cycle of the washing machine is carried out correctly, but during the washing the dryer makes a rubbing noise. It is possible to turn the drum manually in both directions without resistance. The plastic gears at the clutch have been checked, cleaned and greased. The belt is not tight enough. Remove the belt and put it in the wash. When the engine starts to run, check to see if it is running in one direction only. If it does, there may be a broken cable or a malfunction in the electronic board. The capacitor should be checked to see if it needs to be changed. If the motor manages to run without the belt, the problem may be in the gearbox. Replace the belt by securing it between the two pulleys and tighten it. It should not slip during the wash cycle so that it does not slip off the rotation axis. By loosening the two screws that secure the main motor to the metal base on which it is placed, you can tighten the belt by moving the main motor in the opposite direction of the transmission. Then tighten the two screws. Look at the white plastic gear as well as the tooth on the clutch arm. When the transmission pulley turns to the left, the tooth on the clutch arm will keep the white plastic gear in check. When the transmission case pulley rotates clockwise, the tooth on the clutch arm will lie down and rub against the periphery of the tips of all the teeth on the white plastic gear. If the tooth on the clutch arm is too far away from the gear at the washout stage, the friction will result in a louder than expected sound. In this case, the tooth should be adjusted closer to the center part of the gear to minimize this noise.
