The CANDY dryer makes a squeaking noise during the drying cycles. If you manually turn the drum after taking out the laundry, you will notice that the noise is present. The drum is struggling to turn from right to left. The belt may be loose or broken. The malfunction may also be due to the bearings. Remove the dryer cabinet to access the motor area and check the various components.
The motor is running, but there is no visible engagement with the drum shaft. If the noise is coming from the drum as it spins, there may be components rubbing against the drum as it spins. They may be stuck. Clean the various elements and put some lubricant on the rotation shaft. It is possible to use liquid soap, but not powder. If the noise comes from the pulley when you turn the drum, it is possible that the belt of the dryer CANDY is a bit dry and rubs with the motor shaft. Also check that the drum has no play on its pins. Unlock the two snap fasteners on the frame to gain access to the motor and any dandy roller.
If you start the Candy tumble dryer, the motor makes noise. You may also smell something burning, and your Candy clothes dryer does not work properly It's time to change the belt, and it's cheap. It takes 15 minutes to replace a belt, and we ship all belts (poly-Vee, drive belt) within 24 hours.
