The pulley on your washing machine MIELE has been replaced but with a belt from another brand. While spinning the belt, the aluminum pulley broke and the thermostat bulb sheath was cut. The fact that the belt was not original is not necessarily the reason the pulley broke. The belt breakage may have been caused by the fact that it was likely over-tightened. The engine pulley is a centrifugal pulley and it expands the diameter of the belt considerably as the revolutions increase. The original belt on this type of washing machine is elastic. There is no way to replace it with another one without it breaking after a certain number of uses of your machine.
The rotation may burn out because the belt cannot increase all the revolutions. If you want to know the reference of the belt of your washing machine MIELE, you should contact a dealer of the brand. It is advisable to place a belt that loosens, regardless of the brand. When installing it, stretch it until it is almost taut. When changing the belt, you must disconnect the heater to prevent the water from heating up. Disconnect one terminal on the thermostat above or, better yet, disconnect both wires from the heater. Separate them from the wiring harness and insulate them separately. Disconnecting the two resistor wires will minimize possible induction due to leakage in the resistor contacts.
