The drying cycle is not running properly on the dryer. If the drum of your machine does not turn, it is not necessarily necessary to replace the belt because it may simply have come off its axis. Simply reposition the belt. Remove the back panel of the machine to check the condition of the belt. If the belt is just loose and the unit has a belt tensioner or motor with adjustable screws, use the function to tighten the belt. If the motor is running smoothly, try moving the drum by hand to see if it is heavy or stuck. If the drum runs smoothly, put on a new belt. Unplug the unit before performing any maintenance. Pull the belt outward to remove it from the idler, if any. Be sure to purchase a belt that is compatible with the dryer model. Put the new belt in place, making sure to slide it over the rotation shaft. Attach it to the shaft and tighten it to connect it to the drum. Manually rotate the belt so that it snaps into place and tightens. Before reinstalling the back plate of the unit, perform a test run by programming a drying cycle. Tighten the belt if necessary before replacing the panel and screwing it back on.
