The bread machine doesn't work anymore. But you don't use it often. Check that the bread pan is properly inserted. Some machines are equipped with switches that will prevent the machine from starting if the bowl is not properly inserted. Also check that the lid is locked and that the hook is in good condition. If the hook is worn or cracked, your machine will not start. After engaging the tank, the machine starts again, but the blade does not work and the machine makes an abnormal noise. The malfunction may be due to the motor or the belt. Check the condition of the motor by removing the tank and then removing the main compartment of the unit. Remove the plastic frame to see the components. Set the multimeter to the lowest Ohm value and place the keys on the connectors. Then turn the pulley and observe if the value changes. If the value changes, the malfunction is not due to the motor. In this case, check the condition of the belt. If your machine is used infrequently, the belt that does not run regularly may become deformed and slip. The machine should therefore be dismantled. Remove the upper base of the machine or unscrew the bottom of the machine to remove the entire plastic structure. Check that the belt is properly seated on the pulley and turn it by hand to see if there is a blockage. If there is, remove the belt and change it.
