The belt in your washing machine was about to break and you changed it, but since then, during the wash cycles, you hear a shrill noise. There are several possible reasons for the problem. First, the belt you installed is not compatible with your washing machine. When changing the belt, it is necessary to note the diameter of the part, but also the reference written on the original belt. The second reason may be that the belt has not been installed correctly and slips off the rotation axis during the washing cycle. Care should be taken to ensure that the belt is properly tightened. Some washing machines have a system for tightening the belt. If the model you have does not have this feature, the belt should be placed between the motor pulley and the drum pulley and the motor pulley should be rotated manually so that it can fit properly and tighten. If the noise you hear is due to the belt not being properly installed, remove it and wet the belt before reinstalling it, or, using a rag or syringe, grease the belt at both pulleys and make sure it is tight.
