Place one of the cables directly on the lamp holder, then connect the second cable to a capacitor cable (of your choice). Finally, connect the free cable of the capacitor to the lamp holder. If everything is done correctly, the lamp should light up, but with reduced brightness compared to a direct connection. If you prefer, you can also replace the capacitor, as it does not represent a significant cost. It is possible that rusty bearings may be the cause. To check, disconnect the belt and make sure the turbine can rotate freely by hand. Then, unlock the drum by pulling on the drain motor cable by hand and check if the entire drum can be manually rotated.
