Find a way to connect the wires that power the drain motor to the mentioned points above. The neutral or, if not available, the return is usually commo nto the drain motor, the drain pump, and of course, the main motor. Once the dryer is unplugged, try moving the metal braking arm towards the drain motor until the drum spins freely. Mark this point, then attach the end of the guiding arm to the end of the metal braking arm. Temporarily remove the belt between the two pulleys to avoid putting strain on the main motor or damaging the belt.
