You want to know how to install a dryer belt. You have successfully removed the old one, but you are having difficulties installing the new one. Regarding the screws to loosen, if you have a poly V belt, you don't need to loosen anything. Start by placing the belt on the motor pulley, then rotate it while holding it by the drum pulley and the motor pulley as it turns. Then, position the belt on the small pulley and rotate it so that it fits into the groove of the pulley, being careful not to damage it. If the belt doesn't fit, you can loosen the screws to allow the motor to rotate and create tolerance slots at the base of the pulley.
