The drive belt of your AEG tumble dryer is worn out and must be replaced by the 7PH 1971 / 1971H7 belt in the following cases:
The dryer suddenly stops and seems to be operating at low voltage. Unplug the dryer from the electrical outlet. Remove the drum of the dryer following the instructions in the user manual. Disconnect the resistors and the motor of the dryer. Look for the thermal protection of the motor. It is in the form of a small round tube similar to a battery, with wires connected to it. Loosen the location of the thermal protection. It may be placed near the motor or on top of the dryer. Check if the thermal protection is damaged or defective. If so, replace it with a new one. Reconnect all electrical connections, including the resistors and the motor. Put the drum of the dryer back in place following the instructions in the user manual. Plug the dryer back into the electrical outlet. Test the dryer to check if it is functioning properly.
