The programmer of the dryer has been running without your intervention, the motor has been working but the drying phase has not been completed. When you removed the panel on the back of the dryer, you found that the belt was broken. The malfunction encountered during the drying process is due to the fact that the belt broke. Indeed, the belt has the function of driving the drum during the drying cycle. To change the belt, a new one of the same type must be purchased. The belt references are written on the original belt. Mount the belt on the drive pulley and then on the drum pulley. Turn the drum pulley by hand while holding the belt so that it fits naturally on the rotation axis. Perform the manipulation until the belt is sufficiently tensioned. Normally this type of machine does not have a belt regulator. The belts are cut due to the time of use or due to an excessive load that makes it slip on the motor pulley or because the washing machine has bearing problems and this requires a greater effort of the belt. It is advisable to check the steel drum for play. If the drum has side play or upward play, it means that it has bearing problems and this could have been the cause of the belt breaking.
