The belt of the automatic washing machine is extremely worn and when the motor is running the belt slips. It is possible to tighten the belt or loosen the motor to move it. After removing the belt, check whether the motor is running in both directions. Also check the condition of the condenser and the pulley. If the pulley is in bad condition, they should be replaced, taking care to choose parts compatible with the model of the washing machine.
If the belt is worn out, it should be removed and a new one purchased that is compatible with the washing machine model. There are different types of belts. To replace the new belt, position it around the small pulley on the motor. If the belt has grooves, be sure to place them over the grooves on the motor pulley. The smooth side will be positioned on the outside. Position the belt along the drum pulley and at the small pulley. Rotate the drum pulley so that the belt is gradually inserted into it. Continue this motion until the belt is fully seated on the drum pulley, and when it is, release it.
