During the washing cycles, the drum of the washing machine turns very slowly. The clothes come out badly wrung out. The washing machine smells burnt. Usually, this type of malfunction is due to a belt problem. First, check the condition of the belt. It may be loose, in which case it will slip on the shaft. If the belt is in place, check the capacitor. If it is losing value, it should be replaced.
To replace the belt, it must be removed and a new one purchased. The belt model numbers appear on the part. For example, if your belt reference is 1252M8, it means that it is 1252 mm long, has an M profile and has 8 teeth. There are different types of belts and not all are compatible depending on the model of washing machine. It is important to get the right model and the right diameter. Install the new belt on the drive pulley. Turn the wheel to make sure the belt is properly positioned. Replace the washing machine panel and screw it back on. Run the first wash cycle without laundry to see if the drum is driven by the belt.
