Check if the motor's drain hose (small black box) is pulling on the metal brake arm during connection. This could be the cause of the problem. During the spin cycle (intermediate or final), the hose should pull on the brake arm to release the brake. If this does not happen, the motor may overheat and the bel tmay emit a burnt smell due to friction.
