With the dryer unplugged, check the cleanliness of the motor terminals and use a tester to check for continuity. If there is NO continuity, the motor may be damaged and will need to be replaced or rewound. If there is continuity, check all the contacts because where sparks occur, soot is generated, which isolates the current signal and therefore the dryer does not start.
