Top QuestionsThe engine is damaged and will need to be replaced. The brake linkage is loose or detached from the brake arm. The one-way bearing in the gearbox is stuck. To check this, you can remove the belt between the two pulleys and manually rotate the transmission pulley clockwise (from the bottom and from the back of the washing machine). You should see that the end of the brake arm near the drain motor and the white plastic gear are about 2 centimeters away from the toothed arm (the teeth should NOT rub against each other). Also, make sure the drum is not blocked. If you observe these signs, the bearing is likely damaged and will need to be replaced.
