All the functions are activated on the washing machine but the machine cannot wash the clothes. The machine rinses and spins, but it remains stuck. The drum does not turn. Remove the belt between the main motor and the transmission box, to evaluate the main motor in the washing stage. If this is not possible, try selecting only the wash stage at its low level and with water but without putting any laundry in the drum. Press the start button and see if the main motor pulley rotates back and forth, first one way and then the other way, and so on for the duration of the wash stage. To see the main motor, you will need to move the washer sufficiently without a load, remove the rear cover secured by screws and, using a flashlight, observe the various movements. Theoretically, the main motor pulley should turn alternately in both directions: for a few seconds in one direction before making the change in the other direction. Observe whether the belt moves in step with the main motor pulley or whether the belt slips and fails to move the transmission pulley. A white plastic sprocket above the transmission pulley should be checked to see if it stays still during the washout stage and if a toothed arm prevents it from moving. It is necessary to remove the belt between the two pulleys. Only evaluate the main motor without a load. This involves reloading the tank at low level by selecting only the wash stage. To remove the belt, simply use a flathead screwdriver. Be sure to unplug the washing machine. Check that the pulley on the main motor is able to turn back and forth. Check if the pulley manages to turn when you activate it manually.
