The washing machine does not wash because the drum does not turn. It seems to be slowing down. By activating the pressure switch after removing the belt, the motor turns in both directions normally. When the belt is in place the brake does not release during the wash cycle and it brakes during the spin cycle. During the wash cycle the brake/clutch system remains passive. This system is activated only when it reaches the spin cycle. During the wash cycle, only the agitator and the spin drum should move. It accompanies its rotation slightly, but it should not rotate during the wash. It should only do so during the spin cycle. During washing, the agitator does not move, but if it seems that the motor tries to move the agitator. Remove the clutch or brake. Remove the belt and manually turn the pulley. If there is resistance when the pulley is turned, the malfunction may be in the gearbox. If there is a rubbing noise when you turn the drum manually, the belt should be changed. Place the belt by first positioning it on the drive pulley and then engaging it on the large pulley while rotating the large pulley in the same direction to help the belt settle. Also check the condition of the motor and drum bearings.
