After five years of using the washing machine, the appliance does not make any abnormal noise, but it can no longer spin the clothes. The belt of the machine is no longer fixed on the rotation axis. It is no longer in place on the two pulleys. The drive pulley does not move up and down. The pulleys are not aligned. Try to level the two pulleys so that the belt does not come off. Remove the belt between the two pulleys and check to see if the transmission pulley turns freely when you manually turn it back and forth with the washer turned off. Check if the pulley tends to get stuck or does not move, or on the contrary, if it turns freely and thus manages to move the transmission drum. To determine the diameter of the belt, connect the two pulleys with a rope and tie a knot. Cut the rope to get the total length of the belt. The belt model number is marked on the used part. Make sure you get a belt that is compatible with the washing machine. There are different types of belts and not all of them are adaptable. Slide the belt onto the rotation shaft and connect the two pulleys. Tighten it. Perform a test by programming a wash on the washing machine to verify that at the end of the cycle the belt is still in place on the rotation axis.
