The washing machine no longer spins. The laundry is still soaked at the end of the wash cycle. The malfunction may be due to several causes. The spin program does not start until the water level is at its lowest. The appliance first performs a final drain before spinning the laundry. So, if the washing machine does not spin any more, it means that the water has not been drained. If you have respected the load conditions, if the dose of detergent is normal, if you have cleaned the machine well, the breakdown is surely due to a worn or defective part. Remove the washing machine panel to access the motor. Remove the belt by pulling it tightly towards you and manually turn the drum to check for a rubbing noise. Check the condition of the belt and change it if it is worn or too loose. The belt drives the drum during the wash cycle. If the belt is defective, the drum will not turn. Also check the pulleys for bending. Get a belt that is compatible with the model of washing machine. Slide it over the small pulley and then connect the belt to the large pulley. Manually rotate the pulleys until the belt fits securely on the rotation shaft. Tighten the belt so that it does not slip during wash cycles. Run the machine empty to make sure the belt does not come off the spindle during the spin cycle. After completing the necessary checks, replace the unit's plate and screws.
