A malfunction occurs during the use of the washing machine. The machine generates noise during the washing programs. The drum containing the laundry is propelled at high speed, especially during the spin cycle. It is important to know how to differentiate between a noise that is proper to the operation of the washing machine and an abnormal noise. The washing machine can therefore make noise as soon as the drum turns or when the spin cycle and draining starts. It is important to know the origin of the noise to know which parts to test. A defective part or a foreign object may be the cause of the problem. Check the drum and drum bearing, the pulley and belt condition, the bearings, the drain pump, the dampers, the solenoid valve and the electronic board of the machine. If the drum turns slowly, the problem is likely to be the belt that fails to drive it during the wash and spin phases. Turn the washing machine on its side and check whether the moving part of the hitch goes up and down easily or not. Also check that the fixed part that is mounted on the shaft does not have any cracks along its length. The electric motor with its small pulley powers the movement at the top and the other pulley with larger diameter at the bottom as well.
