It is possible that it was installed incorrectly. Make sure that the 2 small hooks of the spring fit properly into the plastic gear and don't forget to grease it. Also, check if the motor makes a sound (a rough sound) when it doesn't rotate on the opposite side. This would indicate that the motor is functioning correctly. You can try the following manipulation: remove the belt and observe if the motor rotates on both sides. It is important to note that the spring only serves to prevent the drum from rotating during washing and can therefore be damaged.
